Abstract

Clinico-ethological and hematological tests have been elaborated by the author to determine the vitality of newborn calves in the first 1,5-2 hours of their life. Five groups of calves were singled out and assessed by the points system: high-rate, satisfactory, slightly lower, sharp lower and unviable (needing reanimation measures) groups of calves.
