
Дается сопоставительный анализ русских и английских пословиц и поговорок; говорится об адекватности этих единиц, которая наблюдается даже в том случае, если пословицы и поговорки имеют разную образность, которая зависит от культуры и быта народа. Также рассматриваются универсалии, наблюдаемые при построении единиц данного типа у разных народов.
Comparative analysis of Russian and English proverbs and sayings is given; it is said about the adequacy of these units, which occurs even if the proverbs have different imagery, which depends on the culture and life of the people. Also universals, observed in the construction of units of this type in different nations, are considered.
