Abstract

The results of treatment of 420 shin osteomyelitis patients, who had been treated in the Institute of Traumatology in 1989-2007 and had been observed during the period from 1 to 7 years, were analyzed. The hi-tech operative techniques were suggested and used. The system approach to surgical treatment of shin osteomyelitis patients was developed and introduced in practice. It provided the termination of inflammatory process and restoration of tibia anatomic integrity for 74,2% of patients. Sick finiteness normal function was reached for 91,7% of patients.
