Abstract

The insufficiency of reclamation works for improvement of the condition of ecosystem of the Volga-Caspian basin is marked. The obligatory withdrawal of mowed freshwater plants and their further use as raw material (perfoliate pondweed) for reception of the carbohydrate-mineral additives and pectin substances are offered. The chemical and carbohydrate structure of the perfoliate pondweed is determined.
