A series of theoretical and technological researches by the distribution balance of sulfur compounds during the production of aluminum and by solubilities in the system Na2SO4 NaHCO3 Na2CO3 NaF (0,5%) H2O is performed. It is shown that the deposition of sodium sulfate on sludge fields is economically and environmentally unpractical. The best way to remove sodium sulfate from gas purification spent liquors is its crystallization on plants with the use of natural and artificial cold. The environmental and economic efficiency of construction of plants for sodium sulfate withdrawal is justified.
