The purpose of this paper is to show the relevance of the anthropocentric approach and the importance of the category of personality in studying interjections in English fiction. By using interjections, the authors show us their characters’ feelings and personal attitude to the reality. Interjections as the means of realization of the category of personality reflect the essence of anthropocentric linguistics as the study of «the person in language».

Цель данной статьи – показать использование антропоцентрического подхода и важность категории персональности в изучении междометий в английских художественных произведениях. Употребляя междометия, авторы передают чувства их персонажей, личное отношение к реальной и ирреальной действительности. Междометия, как единицы, выражающие категорию персональности, отражают суть антропоцентрической лингвистики как изучение «человека в языке».
