This article is based on the materials of researches and conversation with different categories of servicemen and conscripts. Here the question about preparation of conscripts for doing their military service is highlighted. It is deduced that nowadays using the base of the liquidated military departments is necessary to the end of preparations of students for the field service.

На материалах проведенных исследований в воинских частях, бесед с различными категориями военнослужащих и призывниками рассмотрен вопрос о подготовке призывников к службе в армии по призыву. Сделан вывод, что в современных условиях необходимо использовать базу ликвидированных военных кафедр вузов для подготовки студентовпризывников к службе в армии по призыву.
