Abstract

The data that we obtained by different isolates of Tobamovirus (TMV, ToMV), circulating from the tested hybrids in glasshouse, indicate the presence of different types of them, which is consistent with published data on the composition of the field virus isolates. Studying isolates with symptoms on tomatoes and additional test plants, suggests the existence of at least four strains of Tomato mosaic virus, and one Tobacco mosaic virus. Lambsquarters Chenopodium album, two varieties of pepper Capsicum annuum "Spirit", "Podarok Moldovi" and two varieties of tobacco "Gersegovina trebine" and "Dubek" were found out susceptible to isolate T3.
