Abstract

Developing inexpensive, sensitive express methods for determining psychotropic substances in human body fluids is an important task of modern toxicological and forensic chemical analysis. At present, an increasing number of poisoning by gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (sodium salt) and its precursors is found out. The approbation of the previously developed methods for the spectrophotometric determination of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid and its precursors in the urine obtained from patients of department of acute poisoning Budget Institution of Health Omsk Region "City Clinical Emergency Hospital №1» is presented. The features of the use of reagents for hydroxamic reactions is found out. This may be explained by differences in the composition of the urine in health humans and in humans stating of toxic shock. The necessity of isolating gamma-hydroxybutyric acid and its prekursors before using previously developed spectrophotometric methods for determining the purpose of the chemical-toxicological and forensic chemical analysis is shown.
