Abstract

The spectral characteristics of alkaline hydrolysis product kalimin 60 N, and its stability for different pH were studied. Chromatographic mobility of 1-methyl-3-pyridone was studied by the method of the reversed thin-layer chromatography. The optimal conditions (pH, wavelength) for a quantitative determination of 1-methyl-3-pyridone in a solution by the spectrophotometric method were determined. We found out that 1-methyl-3-pyridone is resistant to oxidation by atmospheric oxygen during a period that is necessary for the isolation and cleaning while extracting metabolite from the model mixtures.
