Abstract

Non-specific inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn´s disease represents actual surgical problem. This paper presents the analysis of surgical interventions of ulcerative colitis and Crohn´s disease for the last 12 years based on the First Republican Clinical Hospital of Izhevsk. Indications for single-stage and multi-stage radical operations for ulcerative colitis and Crohn´s disease were developed. The indications for emergency, urgent and elective operations for inflammatory bowel disease were specified. Performing the radical multi-stage operations for ulcerative colitis and Crohn´s disease can reduce mortality and improve the results of treatment, prognosis and quality of life.
