Abstract

The paper considers the correlation between cognitive and language categories based on the conceptual analysis of the Old English sentences expressing physical sensations and natural phenomena. The theoretical claims mentioned herein and analyzed examples contribute to concluding the semantic value of the grammatical elements in these constructions that form altogether the complex conceptual category.
