Abstract

The comparative analysis of the results of singleand two-stage treatment of 45 patients (48 hips) with severe unstable forms of juvenile slipped femoral epiphysis has been made. The long-term clinical and radiographic results and the incidence of complications after performing open epiphysis reposition and intertrochanteric rotational osteotomy have been followed for the period from 2 to 18 years. The differences of the compared techniques include the reduction of rehabilitation period in case of using early surgical treatment as open reposition of the femoral head epiphysis.
