Abstract

In this article author investigates the problem of economic behavior, which becomes more and more important in the era of globalization. The author analyses the evolution of views on this issue in the framework of the major schools of economics. Having studied the approaches of orthodox economics to the problem of economic behavior, it can be concluded that this conceptions are weakly applied and do not correspond to the realities of the 21st century. Proceeding from this, the author insists on finding a new concept, which is at the junction of the economy, psychology, sociology, and statistics, and which adequately describes the behavior of a modern human.
