Abstract

The article reviews the work of Ural society of natural sciences amateurs that was established in Yekaterinburg in the second half of the 19 th century. This work has selected and decrypted the basic directions of activity of the organization. The role of the Ural society of natural sciences amateurs in development of public education of the Ural is defined.

Рассматривается деятельность Уральского общества любителей естествознания, возникшего в Екатеринбурге во второй половине XIX в. Выделены и охарактеризованы основные направления деятельности этой организации. Определена роль Уральского общества любителей естествознания в развитии народного образования Урала.
