Abstract

He aggregate of losses due to traffic traumatism in the context of character of accident (running down pedestrian, vehicle wreck) and type of vehicle is analyzed on the basis of 2010 data. It is demonstrated that in 6.6% of cases in males and in 5.6% of cases in females the cause of lethal outcome was established as traffic accident without any further detailed elaboration of the character of incident. Generally, in 17.5% (almost 5 000 cases) the diagnostic was not in-depth at all. According to Rosstat data, in traffic accidents of different kind only 2% of males and 1.1% of females perished because of alcohol intoxication and four males perished because of drug intoxication in the course of the year.
