Abstract

In order to find out the principle tendencies of studying the party ties of Social Democrats at the places of imprisonment and settlement in Siberia, the article analyzes the historiographical sources of 1920-1950-s. As a result, the author traces the evolution of the given problem at the first two stages of Soviet history science, registers conceptual contradictions of the analyzed literature, and reveals the dependence of its ideology from the general political situation in the country.
