Abstract

The conducted studies have shown that the survival rate of forest crops by seedlings with a closed root system is higher than that of seedlings with an open root system. The survival rate of seedlings is affected by soil preparation and peat application. One of the most important ways to improve the efficiency of reforestation on vacant lots is to create a fertile soil layer of peat or peat-sand mixture.
