Abstract

In the Russian unified range, two-rotor machines have broader technological capabilities. In technological flows, they are the most efficient, since two timber processing operations are performed simultaneously on machines with two rotor heads or two-rotor machines, which provides them with higher technical and economic indicators. The disadvantages of the machines include large dimensions due to the need to install between the rotors an additional section of the feed mechanism. This leads to greater metal and energy intensity of the machines. In addition, due to the large distance between the rotors, they cannot process short and high curvature timber. A more advanced rotor head has been proposed, which structurally combines two rotors simultaneously. This allows you to compose more efficient designs, both two- and fourrotor, and fundamentally improve all technological production [1, 2].
