Abstract

Presents the results of thermogravimetric analysis, IR spectroscopy, and microscopic examination of the densified pine and alder wood. Purpose of the research was the identification of chemical and mechanical changes resulting from its piezothermal treatment. Thermo-mechanical modification led to a qualitative change in the structure of the main components limnogeology matrix of wood, but to-quantitative evaluation of these changes showed that the heating of the wood led to the de-design of the relations, not to their education
