Koenig, Parisiis et Argentorati, 302 pp.Type depository: unknownType locality: GalliaType host: unknownCurrent status: a synonym of Rhipicephalus sanguineus and its original name, as discussed in Nava et al. (2018). The current status of Ixodes sanguineus, as Rhipicephalus sanguineus, was established by Koch (1844).Comments: a neotype of this species was designated under the name Rhipicephalus sanguineus by Nava et al. (2018).
