У статті розглянута тема динамічності лексичного складу англійської мови. З метою дослідження цієї теми розкриті наступні питання: лексичний склад мови та його зміна в останні десятиліття, особливості збагачення лексичного складу англійської мови. Також розглянуті шляхи поповнення лексичного складу англійської мови, а саме: словотвір як основне джерело поповнення словника сучасної англійської мови, запозичення як засіб збагачення словникового запасу та семантичний розвиток лексичного значення слів сучасної англійської мови.
