Abstract

E-mail: tatiana.petrova-t@yandex.ru T. M. Petrova, tatiana.petrova-t@yandex.ru Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russian Federation В. The article analyses activity of party-governmental structures, newspapers Pravda and Izvestia, N. S. Khrushchev for creating the official image of Soviet leader through institutional approach. Reconstruction of the power agents functions for creating the Khrushchev’s image in conditions of destalinization and declaration of the new political management principles are undertaken on the basis of unpublished materials from central Russian archives (GARF, RGANI), government documents and personal sources. Governmental control for creating the Soviet leader’s image, conservation of directive management methods for controlling propaganda combine with transformation of Soviet leader position. The main role in integration of the new representation’s format belonged to N. S. Khrushchev. However, transformations of leader’s representation didn’t include the species of ideological and propagandistic machine working. As a result, methods for creating the leader’s image were too outdated. It was the reason of feebleness the Khrushchev’s image in comparison with I. V. Stalin.
