Abstract

Speranskaya, ansperanskaya@mail.ru, South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk, Russian Federation В статье на материалах Челябинской области исследуется реакция общества на сфабрикованное в начале 1953 г. «дело врачей». На основе изучения архивных и опубликованных материалов показано, что политическая кампания нашла широкий отклик и поддержку у провинциальной общественности. Реакцию жителей Челябинской области можно охарактеризовать как эмоциональную и агрессивную. Отмечается рост различных фобий, панических настроений, распространение слухов. «Дело врачей» показало также наличие бытового антисемитизма, ставшего одной из форм проявления накопившегося социального недовольства. In the article based on the materials of the Chelyabinsk region the reaction of the society to “The Case of Doctors” fabricated at the beginning of 1953 is being researched. Based on the study of archival and published materials, it was shown that the political campaign caused a wide response and support from the provincial public. The reaction of residents of the Chelyabinsk region can be described as emotional and aggressive. There was a growth of various phobias, panic, rumors. “The Case of Doctors” also showed the existence of domestic anti-Semitism, which had become one of the forms to manifest a growing social discontent.
