Magrupova, Doctor of Sciences (Economics), Associate Professor, Karaganda Technical University, Karaganda, Kazakhstan mzm68@mail.ru Gulnara A. Abzalbek, postgraduate student of the Department of Economics and Finance, South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk, Russia, gulnara15-75@inbox.ru Ekaterina V. Gartsueva, senior lecturer, Karaganda Technical University, Karaganda, Kazakhstan, evg0283@mail.ru Currently, the economy of Kazakhstan, like many other countries, is experiencing a number of serious problems, in particular, an insufficient level of economic stability, the coronavirus pandemic, partial food dependence, which lead to an increase in unemployment and social problems, and also create new economic challenges. This article systematizes the results of the analysis and critical review of the prospects for further development and directions of state support for the industrial policy of the regions of Kazakhstan. Measures are developed here to attract targeted strategic investors and create new ecosystems in the sectors of the economy. A conclusion is made that for the development of entrepreneurship it is necessary to formulate new approaches to the investment aspects of the country's economic policy. The authors also propose to change the basic approaches to regulatory policy and form the principles of a new comprehensive and effective regulation in order to meet modern economic challenges.
