Book by T.N. Fedulenkova "Lectures on English phraseology of biblical origin", appeared recently on the bookshelves and managed to become a bibliographic rarity. From this course of lectures, we see that the Bible, being the greatest monument of ancient writing, widely read both in past eras and in the present, is the richest source of phraseological units that can be used in any style of speech and have a high expressive and stylistic coloring. After the text of the course of lectures, a complete list of BFEs of the English language is presented with a translation and indication of specific sections of the Bible where they come from. In conclusion, the work is provided with an extensive bibliography, which includes scientific works in Russian and English, as well as dictionaries, reference books and other resources recommended for both teachers and students for a deeper acquaintance with the problems of this course and the peculiarities of phraseology as such. This edition in clear and concise form presents the classification and structural-semantic characteristics of the biblical phraseological fund, reflecting religious, historical and cultural heritage in the language, and will be useful to anyone who seeks to explore this direction more deeply.
