Abstract

E-mail: lukianovao@susu.ru A. L. Lukyanov, lukianovao@susu.ru, South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk, Russian Federation The article considers the ideological policy of the Soviet state in relation to religion and atheism from 1985 to 1988. The reflection of the representation of religion in periodicals devoted to atheistic propaganda and the main mass Newspapers of the USSR was studied. The study established not only the process of changing representation, but also the features of forming the main directions of discussions on the reform of anti-religious propaganda. The reasons for the government’s support for the implementation of proposals to transform interaction with religions of K. M. Kharchev are also revealed.
