Abstract

Исследование нацелено на выявление наиболее востребованных метафорических моделей в военно-публицистическом дискурсе. Основным источником послужили тексты, извлеченные из американского оцифрованного архива California Digital Newspaper Collection. Методы исследования включают когнитивно-дискурсивный анализ, метод метафорического моделирования, метод статистической обработки материалов. Автор приходит к выводу, что спортивно-игровая, зооморфная, физиологическая метафорические модели, метафора неживой природы являются самыми частотными в исследуемых американских текстах California Digital Newspaper Collection. The article is devoted to one of the important events of the Second World War - the Battle of Kursk in 1943. The research is aimed at identifying the most frequent metaphorical models used in archival texts of military-publicistic discourse. Research methods include cognitive-discursive analysis, methods of metaphorical modeling and statistical analysis. The author concludes that sports-game, zoo- morphic, physiological metaphors, metaphor of inanimate nature are the most frequent in the studied American texts of California Digital Newspaper Collection.
