Modulāra pieeja robotu un to prototipu izstrādē

Abstract

Robot design is not an easy task because it requires expertise in various fields of engineering, as well as time commitment. The goal of this work is to build a modular system to ease the construction of robots for people who don’t have strong knowledge in electronics. This work analyzes the existing modular solutions available in the market and describes their characteristics and weak points and gives a comparison for the construction of a specific robot using the analyzed solutions and explores a variety of data bus connections and data. This work also describes the structure, schematics, PCB layouts and software for the needed sensor and actuator modules as well as the control, PC connection and wireless communication modules.
