Abstract

In this paper the actual problem of choosing the optimal approach to organization of distribution channels in microinsurance is considered. The basic models of distribution of microinsurance services, that emerged in foreign practice (the partner-agent model, the community-based organization model, full service model and provider model), are examined on the example of health insurance. There are block diagrams for each of the model, in which the main participants of microinsurance are determined, also the distribution of functions and responsibilities between them are researched. Identified basic features of each model of distribution of microinsurance services, such as level of control over the microinsurance operations, flexibility in product designing, the level of insurance risk and the number of deals, allowed to conduct a comparative analysis of the models and identify their main benefits and drawbacks.
