Abstract

The work examines the concept of the informal economy, analyzes existing approaches and methods for modeling the relationship between cash and the formation of illegal financial flows, and also develops an economic-mathematical model for evaluating the relationship between cash and the formation of illegal financial flows. Testing of the hypothesis about the relationship between cash and illegal financial flows was carried out using cluster and panel analyses. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that the increase in the amount of cash has a direct proportional effect on the shadow economy and an inverse proportional effect on the corruption perception index.
