DİJİTAL LİDERLİK ÇALIŞMALARINA BİR BAKIŞ

Abstract

Digitalization, defined as the 5th Kondaratieff Wave, which is the main factor of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is one of the priorities discussed in practice and academic literature, exposing the business world to new competitive realities. At this point, it is accepted that the first role in adapting to digital transformation is the leader. As a result of the literature review conducted between 1990- 2019, it is understand that there is a paradigm shift in leadership. This study aims to reveal the typology of the studies in the literature on digital leadership studies. For this purpose, using key words, articles were scanned and 111 studies were selected for review. In this qualitative study, content analysis was utilized. In the studies examined, digitalization, the effects of digitalization on leadership and the skills and competencies that the leader should have are discussed and it is remarkable that most of these studies are conceptual. It has been concluded that the issue of digital leadership, which draws attention in practice and popular literature, should be dealt with in different academic aspects and new empirical studies designed to develop measurable models of digital leadership have been concluded.
