Abstract

The article refers to the complex problem of developing the tourism product on the basis of cultural heritage in the sense of “cultural tourism”. Inappropriateness between tourism and museum actions leads to making the common analysis of the condition of cultural heritage, its advantages and disadvantages. The need to coordinate and cooperate actions of different cultural institutions, maintain monuments, tourism and government sources for forming multifunctional tourism products is substantiated. The model of the cultural tourism product development is suggested.
