Abstract

The change of composition of surface of Мо2В catalyst is investigational in the reaction of epoxidation of oct-1-ene with tert-butyl hydroperoxide and influence on this process of initial concentration of oct-1-ene, tert-butyl hydroperoxide and amounts of catalyst in reactionary mixture. And alsofoods of reaction (tert-butyl alcohol and 1,2-epoxi-octane). It is shown that in time on the surface of Мо2В appears new amorphous phase that contains a molybdenum and oxygen and that actually catalyzes the reaction of epoxidation of oct-1-ene with tert-butyl hydroperoxide. Formation of this phase is reason of acceleration of speed of expense of hydroperoxide and selectivity of formation of epoxide in time.
