Abstract

Рекрутская повинность являлась важным инструментом регулирования этно-конфессиональных процессов в белорусских губерниях в 1794–1874 гг. Российские власти принудительно направляли на военную службу членов диструктивных сект, а также дискредетировавших себя представителей православного духовенства. Кроме того, рекрутская повинность была призвана содействовать принудительной интеграции еврейского населения западных губерний

Recruitment was an important tool for regulating ethno-confessional processes in the Belarusian provinces in 1794–1874. The Russian authorities forcibly sent members of destructive sects, as well as discredited representatives of the Orthodox clergy, to military service. In addition, conscription was intended to facilitate the forced integration of the Jewish population of the western provinces
