New approaches for the integrated estimation of the perspectivity of introduction of the Papaveraceae family (Papaveraceae Juss.) ornamental plants have been developed. For more than 50 species with the wide range of adaptability (from 177 species involved in the analysis) the high success of introduction in a combination with the economic prospect is predicted. 49 highly valuable species for the Ukrainian horticulture are defined as the requiring developments the special regime of cultivation. The significant amount of plants of this family (more than 40 species) with the high level of suitability to the conditions of the area of introduction, but have little perspective from the economic point of view, is the reserve for the introduction works in the more distant future, when certain saturation of assortiment, due to the objects, interesting for the current period, will be reached. Over 10 species, from among the most attractive by novelty and by exotic, are predicted as problematic for the cultivation under the conditions of the selected zones. The search for the ways of their successful introduction is of great scientific interest, but it is connected with the certain risk as for obtaining positive results. Except for completely naturalized on anthropogenic and seminatural ecotopes, and widely widespread Papaver rhoeas and Chelidonium majus, and also noted in anthropogenic ecotopes Glaucim corniculatus and P. argemone, species which can make threat to a floristic variety in the regions are almost absent.
