Genetic differences between the members of Gentiana L. species from the Ukrainian flora have been found through RAPD-analysis. The level of gentians interspecies polymorphism was determined, and relationships between them were established. The significant genetic heterogeneity of the genus as well as large distances between particular taxa are shown. Unique amplicons valuable for the species identification of Gentiana genotypes are detected.
