Abstract

Los dispositivos electrónicos se han convertido en una parte indispensable de nuestrasvidas. La demanda por dispositivos de menor tamaño, mayor capacidad dealmacenamiento y un rendimiento superior, impulsa la investigación y el desarrollo dealternativas innovadoras que satisfagan estas demandas.La electrónica molecular surge como una tecnología prometedora para solventar estosdesafíos. Se basa en el uso de moléculas individuales o ensamblajes moleculares (omonocapas) unidos a electrodos metálicos para actuar como componentes electrónicos.La electrónica molecular ofrece la posibilidad de alcanzar niveles de miniaturización sinprecedentes, además de superar las limitaciones que presentan las tecnologías actuales.En este trabajo de fin de grado se va a evaluar la viabilidad de un nuevo compuesto, quellamaremos compuesto 1, para la fabricación de monocapas con las propiedadesadecuadas para su posible aplicación en electrónica molecular. Se hará uso de dostécnicas de fabricación: Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) y el autoensamblaje (SA). Igualmente, seemplearán varias técnicas de caracterización que permitirán analizar la morfología ycomposición de las monocapas obtenidas. Se ha demostrado que tanto la técnica de LBcomo la de autoensamblaje dan lugar a la formación de monocapas. Sin embargo, latécnica LB permite un control más fino de la organización de las moléculas, incluso hastaconseguir formar fibras de gran tamaño.
