Najznačajniji rani defolijatori na području Nacionalnog parka 'Đerdap' i njihovi parazitoidi

Abstract

Epidemic forest decline has drawn the attention of professional and scientific community even twenty years ago in the National Park 'Đerdap'. It is still a great danger in the forests of oak in eastern Serbia, and now affects all species of trees in the area. Some of the causes of this dieback are insect defoliators. They are particularly harmful outbreaking defoliators. These include species from the geometrids (Lepidoptera: Geometridae), tortricids (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) and noctuids (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) causing damage to buds, shoots and young leaves. The fluctuations of their populations are difficult to predict. Due to the damage that can cause as the primary causes of oak decline, it is necessary to study and monitor their population dynamics. It is important to note the importance of parasitoids as their natural enemies, which reduce the number of their populations. Studies on population dynamics and the diversity of parasitoids of early spring defoliators, undertaken in this area from 2009 to 2011 are an important basis in the prognosis and good management in integrated control of defoliators. .
