Abstract

Erich Fromm ist vor allem bekannt als der Verfasser des psychologischen Bestsellers „Die Kunst des Liebens“. Seine ausführlichen Studien über die spezifisch menschliche Aggression und Destruktivität wurden bisher von der Forschung kaum zur Kenntnis genommen. Diese Forschungslücke bearbeitet die vorliegende Untersuchung, indem sie Fromms Destruktivitätstheorie auf der Grundlage seiner analytischen Sozialpsychologie und in ihrer Bedeutung für eine kritische Pädagogik untersucht. Fromms Destruktivitätstheorie ist aus pädagogischer Perspektive interessant, weil sie eine interdisziplinäre Theorie darstellt, die Erkenntnisse aus den Fachbereichen der philosophischen Anthropologie, der Soziologie, der Psychoanalyse und der Psychopathologie kombiniert. Dies ermöglicht es eine Struktur von unterschiedlichen Destruktivitätsformen mit ihren sozialen, ökonomischen und psychodynamischen Ursachen darzulegen, diese zu analysieren und auf ihren Entstehungskontext in der Sozialisation hin zu untersuchen. Aus diesen Erkenntnissen werden unter Rückgriff auf Fromms analytische Sozialpsychologie Konsequenzen für die Theorie und Praxis einer kritischen Erziehungswissenschaft erarbeitet.
