(44) NYSA asteroidinin yörünge elemanlarının tayini

Abstract

In this thesis, the orbital elements of main belt asteroid (44) Nysa, which is also a known member of the Nysian asteroid family, have been determined. In order to determine the orbital elements, (44) Nysa was observed at Ulupınar Observatory located in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University at the 13th, 14th, 15th, 25th, 26th of September 2013 and the 5th, 6th of May 2015. The observations were carried out using a CCD camera which is installed in the IST60 telescope. The telescope and the CCD camera belong to Istanbul University, Faculty of Science, Department of Astronomy and Space Sciences. A CCDsoft packet program has been used to calculate the celestial equatorial coordinates of (44) Nysa. Another packet program called Find Orb was used to infer six orbital elements. The first three of these elements, the longitude of ascending node (Ω), argument of perihelion (ω) and inclination (i), specify the orientation of the orbit in space, whereas the other three elements, semi-major axis (ɑ), eccentricity (e) and the time of perihelion passage (ζ), indicate the shape. The results obtained are Ω=131.562, ω=343.295, i=3.7071, ɑ=2.423143 AB, e=0.14870 and ζ=2456906.100345 JD. We compared our results with the Minor Planet Center and NASA Horizons Web-Interface results and found that they are consistent with an accuracy of 0°.003 for Ω, 0°.029 for ω, 0°.0005 for i, 0.0002 AU for ɑ, and 0.0004 for e.

Yüksek lisans tez çalışmasında, Nysian asteroid ailesinin de bir üyesi olan ana kuşak asteroidi (44) Nysa'nın yörünge elemanları tayin edilmiştir. Yörünge elemanlarını tayin etmek için (44) Nysa 13, 14, 15, 25, 26 Eylül 2013 ve 05, 06 Mayıs 2015 tarihlerinde Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesinde bulunan Ulupınar Gözlemevi'nde gözlenmiştir. Gözlemler IST60 teleskobuna bağlı bir CCD kamera kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Teleskop ve CCD kamera İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Astronomi ve Uzay Bilimleri Bölümü'ne aittir. (44) Nysa'nın göksel ekvatoral koordinatlarını elde etmek için CCDsoft paket programı kullanılmıştır. Bir başka paket program Find_Orb altı yörünge elemanını elde etmekte kullanılmıştır. Bu elemanların ilk üçü, çıkış düğümünün boylamı (Ω), perihelin argümanı (ω), yörüngenin eğim açısı (i), yörüngenin uzaydaki yönelimini, diğer üç eleman, yarı-büyük eksen uzunluğu (ɑ), dışmerkezlik (e) ve perihelden geçiş zamanı (ζ), yörüngenin şeklini gösterir. Elde edilen sonuçlar Ω=131.562, ω=343.295, i=3.7071, ɑ=2.423143 AB, e=0.14870 ve ζ=2456906.100345 JD 'dir. Sonuçlarımız Küçük Gezegen Merkezi ve NASA Horizons Web-Interface sonuçları ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçların Ω'da 0.003, ω'da 0.029, i'de 0.0005, ɑ'da 0.0002 AB, e'de 0.0004'lük hassasiyette uyumlu olduğu görülmüştür.
