Abstract

Bu çalışma Carmen Laforet'in yazmış olduğu El Viaje Divertido, La Llamada ve La Mujer Nueva adlı romanlardaki kadın karakterlerin yazıldıkları dönemle ilişkilendirilerek Bildungsroman çerçevesinde incelenmesini hedeflemektedir. Çözümlemenin odak noktasını ilk romanda kadın başkahraman Elisa, ikinci romanda Mercedes ve son romanda Paulina oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı adı geçen romanlar aracılığıyla İç Savaş sonrası İspanyol edebiyatında Bildungsroman'ın var olup olmadığı sorusunun yanıtını ve nedenlerini bulmaktır. Çalışmada incelenecek romanlar konuları ve biçimleri açısından 1950'li yıllarda İspanya'nın toplumsal ve edebi arka planıyla ilişkilendirilecektir. Çalışmada toplumun temsilcisi olarak karşımıza çıkan kadın kahramanların neden yeni bir kimlik ve yeni bir dünya arayışına giriştiklerinin sebepleri ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılacaktır. Kadın Bildungsromanı'nın temel sağlayanlarıyla bu sorulara yanıt aranacaktır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Bildungsroman, Carmen Laforet, El Viaje Divertido, La Llamada, La Mujer Nueva, İç Savaş sonrası, İspanyol edebiyatı, kadın.

This study aims to analyze the novels El Viaje Divertido, La Llamada and La Mujer Nueva of Carmen Laforet, within the frame of Bildungsroman associating to the period in which they were written. The analysis focuses on the main female characters in the novels; Elisa in the first novel, Mercedes in the second novel and Paulina in the third novel. The objective of this investigation is to find out the reasons for the existence of Bildungsroman in Spanish Female novel in the period of Post-Civil War by way of these novels. The novels to be analyzed in this study are associated with the political, cultural and literary background of Spain in the 1950s. The study intends to find out the reason for embarking on the quest to find a new world and gain a new identity of the heroines as representative of society. Female-Bildungsroman will allow us to find out the answers to these questions.Key Words: Bildungsroman, Carmen Laforet, El Viaje Divertido, La Llamada, La Mujer Nueva, Post-Civil War, Spanish literature, woman.
