4th US-Japan Joint Institute for Fusion Theory Workshop on Innovations and co-designs of fusion simulations toward extreme scale computingでは、Fortran90で書かれたプラズマ乱流シミュレーションコードを、CUDA/ThrustによるGPU環境への移植例について報告した。実装上特に注意が必要な最適化技法であるPaddingやregisterの再利用、および通信と演算のオーバーラップなどの適用事例を示した。質問としては、今回行ったFortran90からCUDAへの移植コストに関するものがあった。 【0伝】4th US-Japan Joint Institute for Fusion Theory Workshop における成果発表
