The design of a three-component force measuring sensor has been developed to study the processes occurring during high-speed processing of structural materials on milling machines. From the experience of operating a system for measuring and registering cutting forces based on the UDM-600 sensor, technical requirements for the design of the designed sensor are formulated. A reasonable analysis and selection of materials, as well as sensor components, was made. A prototype of the sensor was made, its tests were carried out on the AG-400 machine.
