Об использовании ландшафтных особенностей в погребальной обрядности носителей сейминско-турбинских бронз (на примере Юринского могильника)

Abstract

The article discusses landscape features in the funeral rites of native seima-turbino bronzes, traced during excavation of the burial Yurino which was opened by the author at the mouth of the Vetluga River in the Mari El Republic. On the area of the funerary monument, dating back to the beginning of the late bronze age, two areas of ancient tombs were highlightedThe first area (bottom) is represented by several burials .It was studied in 2001-2004. The second area (top) was discovered in 2004 at the top of the dunes. Analysis of burial copperbronze (knives, axes-celts, spearheads) and flint (arrowheads) implements the upper and lower sections of the necropolis. It suggests that the most prestigious burials were made on the top of a dune. We believe that the dominant position of the grave 10 caused by certain traditions that existed in the seima-turbino time.
