
The author relies on the thought that environmental issues of language also have to enter a perspective of ecological anthropology. Article is devoted to two factors that promotes overall performance on revitalization of minority languages. The first factor is understanding by representatives of radical ethnicities of indissoluble connection between landscape and language of the people who inhabit these places. It means that there is also certain “requirement” to the landscape: it has to be complete, undisturbed (and if it is broken, then not to such an extent, that it can disappear or, whenever possible, not to be restored). It is necessary paying particular attention to preservation of the defense lands that connected with execution of traditional ceremonies and holidays. If the ecosystem of defense lands is preserved, also, there will be untouched cult monuments of the small people. The second factor is the understanding of an important role, the importance of the settled, habitual names of locality. At the same time, the author pays attention to the circumstance that introduction of (going from the native language) the names can be carried out even in the conditions of modern city
