The rural periphery of the south-east of the Saratov region is multinational. The geographical position and the established diasporas contribute to migration into the region of peoples from Central Asia. In the 1990s, an administrative decision was taken on the resettlement of Kurds from the Central Asian republics to rural areas of the Left Bank region. The situation in the region requires solving the problem of the socio-cultural and ethno-demographic security of the Saratov region.
