Abstract

The article deals with positive and negative sides of social and economic differentiation of regions. The analysis of the main macroeconomic indicators that define the level of the Tyumen region development is carried out, and interregional disproportions of its development are considered. Keeping in mind the maximum permitted level of inequality the importance of an integrated approach to the consistent understanding of development of production sphere and social sphere of the West Siberian oil-and-gas province is proved. The conclusion is drawn on the need of creation at the regional level the unified Council for development of production forces in the Tyumen region.
