Modeling of Price Formation in the Smartphone Market

Abstract

The work is devoted to the analysis of the dependence of price of a modern smartphone on a number of characteristics. Based on data of two hundred and fifty smartphones, a visual analysis was carried out, which allows selecting the most significant variables, and excluding some of the variables from the analysis. By means of the correlation analysis, the most significant variables relative to the price were identified. The main instrument was regression analysis, through which a regression model was built. As a result of studies, it was revealed that the model constructed is qualitative and adequately describes the formation of the price of a modern smartphone in a market economy.
