Composting of municipal solid municipal wastes

Abstract

The article presents the results of the development of an installation and technology for the optimal utilization of the organic part of the sublattice product of solid domestic waste (SDW) in conjunction with tree spills and wastewater sludge of treatment plants. To achieve this goal, the following main tasks were accomplished: a review and analysis of existing technological schemes for composting municipal waste; the hardware-technological scheme of the installation and the design solutions of the main units were developed; The parameters of the composting process of municipal waste are studied. The developed scheme allows flexible use of compostable ingredients in various ratios (fermented sewage sludge, excess activated sludge, raw sediment, tree trunks, food waste). Mass-exchange and hydraulic calculation of the installation was carried out. The calculation contains the heat balance of the composting process in the summer and winter period and the material balance of the composting process in the winter and summer.
